CISC has been accepted by the steering board of the Association AENEAS as active member. AENEAS is the private partner of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking.

The European Technology Platform (ETP) on Nanoelectronics and its governing structure European Nanoelectronics Initiative Advisory Council (ENIAC) was established as action result out of the Lisbon 2000 European Council agenda for growth and competitiveness in a knowledge-based European economy. The European Commission has promoted the establishment of European Technology Platforms (ETPs) which associate all principal stakeholders – industry, research bodies and academia – in key areas for European competitivenes. European Technology Platforms focus on strategic issues where achieving Europe’s future growth, competitiveness and sustainability depends upon major technological advances.

The European Technology Platform on Nanoelectronics and ENIAC have the mission to bring together key players in the area of Nanoelectronics like European research centres, major producers of semiconductors, materials, equipment and applications, high technology small and medium-sized enterprises, national and regional authorities, universities and financial institutions.

Key purpose of the ENIAC European Technology Platform (ETP) is to draw up and implement the ENIAC Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) to achieve ENIACS Vision 2020 of the nanoelectronics sector.
