CISC Semiconductor starts with 32 European partners new R&D project e3car for development of hybrid and electrical vehicles with total volume of 44 Mio. EUR.
The ENIAC Joint Undertaking (JU) Energy Efficient Electrical Car - E3Car Project will be started in Brussels on April 3rd 2009. The project is the largest European strategic research program addressing the development of nanoelectronics technologies, devices, circuits architectures and modules for electrical and hybrid vehicles. Thanks to € 44 million funding from the industry, European Commission and 11 European participating states (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Nederland, Norway and Spain) the project brings together CISC Semiconductor and other 32 major European industrial players, SMEs, research centres and universities.
The target is to build a solid nanoelectronics technology base for Europe and establish standard designs and platforms for electrical/hybrid vehicles that will have a significant industrial, economic, innovation and societal impact. |
