RFID+RFComm

Radio Frequency Identification and communication technologies are nowadays used for various applications like animal identification, consumables and equipment in rough manufacturing environment. The most common applications are tracking of goods in the supply chain, reusable containers, and parts moving through a manufacturing line. Applying the technology effectively requires comprehensive know-how on system issues and related microchips on reader and tag side as well as on RF communication.

Within CISC Semiconductor's business unit "RFID+RFComm" products and services on design and evaluation of RFID systems and RFID applications are provided.

CISC Semiconductor is leveraging its system design, modeling and simulation experience on heterogeneous systems for the low frequency (<135 kHz), high frequency (13.56 MHz), and ultra high frequency (UHF, 860 - 960 MHz) and the 2.45 GHz area. The main focus of activities is on modeling, simulation, evaluation and measurement of RFID systems and applications in order to provide information about feasibility and to support the decision process without the usually required set up of installations for evaluation steps.

Due to our active participation in international standardization (ISO, IEC, ETSI, ÖNORM) and our active membership at EPCglobalTM we ensure to drive this technology in line with continuous development and change of regulatory constraints and give significant input on standards and technology development.
