CISC Design MethodologyTools such as System Architect Designer (SyAD®) developed by CISC Semiconductor support systems engineering, encompass architectural assessment, co-design and co-verification, and feed design data into the synthesis and realisation tools flow. Prior to these tool developments CISC Semiconductor continuously works on new design methodologies facing the challenge between increasing complexity of systems and permanently increasing technology performances on one hand and the a big lack of capabilities of available commercial design tools and frameworks supporting these requirements. Since the complexity of modern embedded microelectronic systems is dominated - beside the hardware itself - also by software complexity, device drivers, real-time operating systems, application programming interfaces (API), middle-ware and finally applications tasks. CISC focuses on methodologies to link all of these components which are executing and intercommunicating. Following areas are addressed: - Mixed Signal / Mixed Domain Design Methods with focus on simulation
- Embedded system simulation and verification
- Technology and parasitic effects influencing system performance
