Muehlbauer at Labelexpo Europe
Muehlbauer showcases the IL 30000 as an inlay insertion line suitable for efficient Smart Label production. This platform is designed for the fully automatic insertion of RFID inlays into conventional self-adhesive labels. Label converters use their standard label printing presses to produce self-adhesive labels in a cost-effective reel-to-reel process. By using the IL 30000, these labels can be easily converted into Smart Labels by inserting wet RFID inlays between the adhesive labels and the liner in a stand-alone reel-to-reel process (“de-lam/re-lam process”). With minimal investment and fast production integration, the system serves as an ideal entry point into the RFID market.

Rosas Maschinenbau GmbH, in partnership with Graph-Tech USA (GTUS), will demonstrate high-performance solutions in label and booklet inspection, inkjet printing, and high-speed RFID technology.
The Rosas Leopard 300 tabletop rewinder will demonstrate advanced RFID capabilities with an optical inspection system, high-speed RFID encoding, and a printing station. It offers adjustable web tension, a maximum web width of 254 mm, unwind and rewind diameters up to 520 mm, an integrated splicing table, and speeds of up to 300 m/min.
This end-to-end solution encodes and verifies RFID tags at high speeds, setting new standards for efficiency and precision. The system integrates the RFID Xplorer Inline from CISC, which is designed to efficiently encode, test, and lock data on RFID labels in a single, streamlined process.
An important advancement within this process is serialized RFID label encoding and printing. Unlike standard RFID tags that identify only product types, serialization involves writing a unique identification number (UID) to each RFID chip and, often simultaneously, printing it onto the label surface. This creates a digital and physical marker for each unit, allowing automatic and manual traceability throughout production, logistics, and retail.
Serialized RFID labels offer numerous advantages: full product traceability, real-time inventory visibility, and added protection against counterfeiting. They also support faster logistics operations by enabling rapid, error-free identification of individual units. For data-driven production environments, serialization provides a valuable layer of intelligence for supply chain analysis and process optimization.
Rosas Maschinenbau’s RFID systems are engineered with integrated quality control to verify both the encoding and printing results. They support a wide range of label materials, provide customizable printing options for barcodes, variable data, and graphics, and can be integrated into existing production lines or operated as standalone machines.
Seamless connectivity with ERP and inventory management systems ensures that serialized data flows reliably from production to digital tracking platforms.
At Labelexpo Europe, Rosas will also present its Gazelle digital printer, demonstrating high-quality label imprinting, integrated with the GTUS eZ-Inkjet 54 mm, 600×600 DPI high-resolution printer. The compact system delivers powerful all-in-one printing with adjustable web tension, a 254 mm max web width, unwind/rewind diameters of 520 mm, and speeds up to 500 m/min.
Making its debut at Labelexpo is the Viper 750 tabletop rewinder, specially designed to celebrate Rosas Maschinenbau’s 25th anniversary. It features a 4K AI-based optical inspection system, adjustable web tension, 254 mm max web width, 520 mm unwind/rewind diameters, an integrated splicing table, and an impressive top speed of up to 750 m/min.
